Yes, those are houses. People actually live down here. I've seen cars like Foresters bottom out on the humps. One of these days I need to go down it with a better camera so you can actually see the ruts instead of just how the vehicle moves up and down. Skip to 1:15 for the good stuff.

Damn, do they all DD Raptors?

Clearly you need a Honda Fit to drive that road.

Nothing will stop me from Trick or Treating at their house!

If this were my road, I would be so happy.

I've driven in wooded off-road parks that had smoother trails than this.

Excuse me sir....
Y u no tell?

Oh my god, fuck that road. Though it can provide some fun/buttclenching times in the proper/improper vehicle. I plan to give my FZJ80 a shakedown once it's up and running on that road. It's the one behind the alpaca farm right?
(also, can I have authorship please?)

I've seen priuses (prii?) driving this. Hell I've ridden in one driving this.

Still just as glorious as the day it happened.

EDIT: Close up at end of the video revealed it. Now I have an irrational desire for first-gen subaru wagons.

2011 STI is making the noise in a mid 90's body.

Looks like fun. Would not want to drive that just to get home all the time. Brilliant idea, hire that old boy down the highway with the old dozer to do a little smoothing.

Not when it rains and suddenly you're slogging through mud puddles that come up to your door sills...

Have been in water up to my bumper, I think I'll be okay.

Yep. The other end is Stony Hill rd, where Co-housing is. The reason the road is so bad is that it cuts like 10 minutes off of the trip from that section of West Tis to Edgartown. If the road were better, it'd become a major thru-way and the residents don't want that.
Also, I'm not a mod so I can't grant authorship. You have to make a request in the comments of this thread here.

I think so but it's lost on a memory card somewhere in my stuff. I've moved house since April so I have no clue where it is.

Oh derp, my B. I misread what you said in your other post Dx. I'll do that.
And yeah, that makes sense. Similar reason I assume why Dodger's Hole used to not have very many speedbumps but now there's a lot more?

They go through it every other year or so but they just smooth out the ruts, they don't fill them in. The reason is that the road is a major shortcut that cuts like 10 minutes off of the trip to a nearby town, if it were smoother it'd become a major thru-way and the residents of the road don't want that.

Um, yeah, but only if you want this to happen:

Naw, I thinks that's just from cranky rich people who don't want hooligans speeding up and down the road at a blistering 20mph.

I can see their point. That road can't save you much time at the speeds they have to travel.
![]() 10/08/2014 at 16:06 |

Even with the ruts it saves time, but people avoid using the road because it's so unpleasant and not all vehicles can use it.

Oh. So that's why the rural postal workers have Jeeps
